Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Healthcare Commercial Construction Superintendent Professional to support the successful delivery of healthcare construction projects. This role is ideal for construction professionals with experience working in hospitals, medical facilities, laboratories, or other highly regulated healthcare environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while minimizing disruption to ongoing healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial healthcare construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, project safety plans, and healthcare facility requirements.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on active construction sites.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and facility stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress to maintain schedules, quality standards, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety, quality, and construction risks.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare-specific requirements, including work in occupied and patient-care environments.
- Support project documentation, site logistics, and daily construction operations.

Required Qualifications

- Experience in commercial construction, preferably within healthcare environments.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, site operations, and safety procedures.
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
- Knowledge of healthcare construction standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in hospitals, medical offices, laboratories, or healthcare campuses.
- Familiarity with Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM).
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and working within occupied facilities.
- Proven ability to deliver projects in highly regulated environments.

Work Environment

This position is based on active healthcare construction sites, including hospitals, clinics, medical office buildings, and healthcare campuses. Candidates must be comfortable working in fast-paced environments with strict safety, cleanliness, and regulatory requirements.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Hartford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
