## Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Read, interpret, and follow CAD drawings, work instructions, and production documentation to complete assigned fabrication work.

- Fabricate, assemble, and weld plastic components and assemblies with minimal supervision while meeting quality and production expectations.

- Identify basic weld defects, perform troubleshooting, and make appropriate equipment adjustments within established guidelines.

- Develop, modify, and use basic templates and fixtures to support accurate fabrication and repeatable welding processes.

- Conduct self-inspections to verify workmanship, dimensional accuracy, and adherence to quality requirements.

- Cut, drill, shape, form, and prepare plastic materials using appropriate tools, methods, and safe work practices.

- Collaborate with other fabricators, welders, and production team members to support project completion and schedule commitments.

- Promptly communicate quality, safety, tooling, material, or process concerns to the appropriate supervisor or lead.

- Perform tool maintenance (sharpen or replace worn tools).

- Perform additional duties assigned in support of production, safety, and operational objectives.

Physical Requirements

- Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend, and use hands to handle materials, tools, and components throughout the shift.

- Possess visual abilities required for fabrication and inspection work, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

- Perform physical activities associated with manufacturing work, including lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted.

Must Have Experience

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

- Two to four years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or similar hands-on production environment.

- Two to four years of plastic welding, plastic fabrication, or closely related experience.

- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret CAD drawings, work instructions, measurements, and production documentation.

- Experience safely operating plastic welding equipment and common fabrication tools, including grinders, drills, Dremel tools, saws, and related hand or power tools.

- Ability to perform self-inspection, recognize weld defects, and escalate quality or safety concerns in a timely manner.
- Experience working with multiple thermoplastic materials such as PVC, PP, HDPE, PVDF, or similar materials.

Preferred

- Experience developing, modifying, or improving templates, fixtures, and welding setups to improve quality, repeatability, or efficiency.

- Experience supporting continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, waste reduction, or process improvement initiatives.

- Basic computer skills for entering production data, accessing electronic work instructions, tracking work progress, or completing required reports.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong attention to detail, personal accountability, and commitment to producing quality work.

- Mechanical aptitude and practical understanding of how plastic materials behave during cutting, forming, fit-up, and welding.

- Basic math skills for measurements, layout, fit-up, and quality checks.

- Effective oral, written, and reading comprehension skills for understanding work orders, safety instructions, procedures, and documentation.

- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to team performance, project completion, and production priorities.
