Job Summary
The Billing Support Specialist will assist the billing and accounting teams with routine and ad hoc billing, reporting, cash receipt processing, and general ledger support. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working independently with financial data and customer-specific reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices in accordance with established billing schedules and requirements.
- Create customer-specific invoice summaries and formatted reports based on contractual or operational requirements.
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses, including revenue, billing trends, and variance analysis.
- Process cash receipts and ensure transactions are recorded and reconciled accurately and promptly.
- Support general ledger activities, including basic reconciliations, data validation, and reporting.
- Provide additional reporting and analytical support to the accounting team as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized documentation.
- Follow applicable internal controls, accounting procedures, and finance policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting support is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Comfort working with both structured and unstructured financial data.
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Experience with financial enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently with minimal oversight.

- Reliable availability and timely communication with the billing and accounting teams.
