Morgan Steel, LLC is seeking a skilled Tube Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Tube Laser Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC tube laser cutting machines to cut and process metal tubes and pipes according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in laser cutting technology, precision measurement, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC tube laser cutting machines to cut and process metal tubing and pipes according to job specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work orders to determine cutting dimensions and parameters.

- Set up and adjust machine settings, including laser power, speed, focus, and rotary controls, for optimal cutting performance.

- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts using forklifts or hoists as needed.

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser cutting equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

- Inspect cut parts for quality, verifying dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring tools.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.

- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production targets.

- Identify and report any material defects, machine malfunctions, or safety concerns immediately.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Prior experience operating CNC tube laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and work orders accurately.

- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and adherence to safety protocols.

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
