About this role

Overview:

HighRes Biosolutions is hiring a Technical Project Scheduler at our Beverly, Massachusetts headquarters to build, maintain, and optimize the schedules that drive delivery of our lab automation systems. At HighRes, project managers do not build schedules. The scheduling function owns them. You will construct and maintain schedules across a portfolio of 80 to 130 active projects spanning new system builds, upgrades, moves, and software deliveries, supporting a team of more than a dozen project managers. This is portfolio-level scheduling, not single-project support. This is a career scheduling role. We are looking for depth in the discipline: critical path rigor, template design, resource forecasting, and data integrity at scale. Growth here means broader portfolio ownership and greater authority over methodology and tooling, not a stepping stone into project management.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Project Management, primary responsibilities include the following:

Build and maintain project schedules from purchase order receipt through Factory Acceptance Testing, installation, and Site Acceptance Testing including IQ, OQ, and PQ qualification

Develop and maintain schedule templates by project type so every new project launches from a consistent, proven baseline

Set and hold baselines, track actuals against plan, and report variance with clear cause and impact

Review the critical path continuously, identify acceleration opportunities, and surface delay risk before it reaches the customer

Incorporate third-party vendor timeline commitments into the master schedule

Produce resource utilization models and capacity forecasts across the portfolio, providing the data behind project manager assignment and bandwidth decisions

Run scenario analysis at portfolio level: what a date change, resource constraint, or scope shift does across every affected project

Own schedule data quality in Kantata, including task hygiene, assignment accuracy, baseline discipline, and consistent field use

Build and maintain the schedule reporting that project managers and leadership rely on

Coordinate with Sales at purchase order handoff, Engineering and Fabrication on build sequencing, Supply Chain on long-lead items, Field Service on installation windows, and Finance on milestone timing

Ensure every project is scheduled and forecast using a consistent methodology

Qualifications

Required

5+ years of hands-on project scheduling experience, with direct ownership of schedules you built and maintained yourself

Demonstrated fluency in critical path methodology, including the ability to explain the impact of a change to a non-technical stakeholder

Practical experience with an enterprise scheduling or professional services automation platform. Kantata (formerly Mavenlink), Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Planview, OpenAir, and Workfront are all relevant.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, and clear written and verbal communication with both project teams and leadership

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred

Direct experience with Kantata or Kantata OX (listed as Mavenlink prior to 2022)

Experience supporting a multi-project portfolio rather than a single program

Background in capital equipment, systems integration, or another engineered-to-order environment

Exposure to life sciences, laboratory automation, or a regulated GxP delivery environment

PMI-SP, PMP, or comparable certification

Location: Based at our North American headquarters, 102 Cherry Hill Drive, Beverly, MA 01915. Hybrid work. No travel is required.

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
