Human Resources Assistant (HR Generalist Development Program)

This position is part of our Human Resources succession planning strategy and is designed to develop future HR Generalists. Successful candidates will participate in a structured development program with the expectation of progressing into an HR Generalist role upon successful completion of established training, competency, and performance milestones.

What You'll Do
You will gain experience supporting employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle, including:
- Recruiting and onboarding new employees
- Conducting new hire orientation
- Maintaining employee records and HR systems
- Assisting with employee benefits
- Supporting employee recognition and engagement initiatives
- Coordinating employee offboarding activities
- Answering employee HR questions
- Supporting compliance and training programs
- Building relationships with employees and managers across multiple locations

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required (GED, HiSET, or other recognized high school equivalency credential accepted). Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- One year of administrative, customer service, healthcare, or office experience.
- Strong computer and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Travel is required. Must be able to travel to Galesburg and other organizational locations for training, meetings, onboarding activities, cross-coverage, and professional development. Travel is expected as part of the HR Generalist Development Program. Estimated travel is approximately 5-10%.
