ROLE TITLE: Manager, Regional Operations (Temp)

WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Manager, Regional Operations (Temp) is a member of Teach For America South Carolina (TFASC)’s Executive Strategy team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing impactful, high-quality events and initiatives to support our community of teachers, alumni, and community partners. Specifically, you will work closely with the Director, Executive Support and Operations to plan and execute regional events and marketing content. This is a temp position beginning in January 2026 and concluding May 31st, 2026 for approximately ten to fifteen hours per week.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Events Project Management (40%)
In collaboration with the Executive Director and Director, Executive Support & Operations, plan and execute an in-person community event targeting TFA teachers, alumni, community members, and donors.
- Facilitate regular virtual check-in meetings to ensure deliverables and goals are met in the lead-up to the event.
- Maintain a project plan, create a project calendar, and lead follow-up with team members to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met, including event invitations, RSVP lists, event program planning, and event operations.
- Must be available for in-person event attendance on May 16th, 2026.
- Marketing (40%)
With support from the Director, Executive Support and Operations, manage the creation of two marketing videos highlighting TFASC’s work
- Work with external vendors, teachers, and district staff to create high-quality materials aligned to TFA’s overall messaging and brand vision
- Collaborate with TFA South Carolina team members to identify themes and stories to showcase in marketing materials to highlight TFASC’s impact
- Manage relationship with external videographer team to ensure deadlines are met
- Other Operations Support (20%)
Provide additional support to the Executive Director and D, Executive Support and Operations as needed. Projects may include: creating marketing collateral, supporting in full-team meeting spaces, advisory board meeting support, creating powerpoints or one pagers for external audiences, or lending capacity to team-wide projects or programs.
A WEEK IN THE LIFE
Over the course of any week, the M, Regional Operations (Temp) will spend time across a variety of workstreams, with each day looking different. Some days may include working closely with the D, Executive Support & Operations to plan and execute events or develop marketing collateral. On other days, you may travel to school sites to capture video footage for marketing purposes or collaborate on deliverables and presentations for a range of internal and external meetings.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role (minimum qualifications):
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- Track record of meeting and exceeding goals while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Previous experience working in Google Suites and Canva
- Previous experience creating branded marketing materials
- Experience with storytelling and capturing diverse voices authentically
- Strong project management and operations skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Willingness to work occasional weekend or evening work hours
- This is a remote position with occasional travel within South Carolina required.

The applicable salary range for each U.S.-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers according to a cost of labor index in that geographic area. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
