About this role

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(A) SPECIFIC

- Perform routine safety checks and preventive maintenance on medical equipment.

- Attend corrective maintenance.

- Commission new medical equipment.

- Update and maintain proper equipment history records.

- Liaise with external contactors on replacement of parts, raise request and make recommendations.

- Manage the performance of external contractors on service matters.

- Supervise and co-ordinate works performed by external contractors.

- Update and maintain proper inventory of service parts.

- Ensure BME work activities & practices conform to standards and audits requirements as stipulated in MOH Licencing and Accreditation (L&A), Joint Commission International (JCl) and International Standards Organisation (ISO).

- Report I Feedback to Engineer on service issue

(B) GENERAL

- Participate in hospital tours for visitors and other department staff.

- Train and mentor students attached to BME department for industrial attachments.

- Share learning points of the department operations.

- Embrace continuous improvement as our way of life by improving and refining work performance on a daily basis.

- Participate in tasks and duties as assigned by senior staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

(A) EDUCATION TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

- Recognised Diploma in Biomedical I Electronics Engineering OR Vocational training certificate in Electronics I Electromechanical I Mechatronics Engineering with practical experience of at least 5 years,

- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Service oriented with good communication and supervisory skills.

- Positive work attitude and ability to work with all levels of staff.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

- Able to work beyond normal work hours as and when required.
