Ready to make an impact? We're looking for an onsite intern to join our team for the 10-week Summer 2027 Internship Program (May 17 - July 23, 2027) at our headquarters in Wilmington, NC. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Wednesday, September 23.

How   This Role   impacts   Live Oak:

Interns that join the   Portfolio Management Team will have the opportunity to understand and support our Portfolio Analys t s   in   the   numerous   tasks   they   work on   each quarter.   The 10-week program will allow interns to work through financial analysis, shadow tasks and customer interactions, learn the lead to loan process and gain an understanding of Live Oak’s risk through   Lending and Servicing functions .   The   Portfolio Analyst   role is vital to the health and overall performance of the existing Live Oak Bank loan portfolio .

What   You’ll   Do   at Live Oak :

- Analyze financial statements from several different industries   as part of our quarterly analysis and   assist   wit h   annual risk grade assessment s for relationships with larger exposure.

- Complete a capstone project and presentation outlining the   lead-to-loan   process using what you learn over the course of the summer.

- S hadow the day-to-day functions   of the role, such as collateral, payment, and loan structure questions, managed and completed by a variety of Portfolio Analysts.

- Work with other departments throughout the bank   handling customer requests   to understand how each role plays a key function.   This   will also broaden   your   spectrum on potential future opportunities throughout the bank.

- Spearhead any internal projects focused on making the group more effective and efficient.

- Attend Loan Committee weekly listening to an educational debate on   deals   approved   each week .

- Attend   d epartment and   internal t eam meetings for important updates and learning opportunities.

How   You’ll   Do It:

- You will be trained   on   financial   statement   analysis and the Live Oak Bank approach to cash flow lending.

- Consistent feedback on job performance during the internship.

The base pay range for this position is $19.77 - $32.12 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
