About this role

[What the role is]
Successful candidates will be involved in the teaching of full time (PET) and/or part time (CET) polytechnic students for various diplomas in the School of Applied Science.

[What you will be working on]

Successful candidates will develop course materials (where applicable) and facilitate content delivery according to syllabus, be involved in assessment preparation and marking as well as providing teaching-related administrative support.

They are also expected to manage digital platforms such as the Learning Management System (LMS), execute interactive digital tools (e.g. Kahoot, Mentimeter) and conduct lessons through face-to-face and/or online modes.

[What we are looking for]

Candidates should possess either one of the following qualifications or its equivalent, with relevant work experience.

- Biomedical/Life Sciences, Data Science degree or equivalent
- Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Food Science degree or equivalent
- Health Sciences, Life Sciences, Nursing degree or equivalent

Those with experience in one or more of the areas listed below are preferred:

Biomedical Science with Analytics

- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in one of more of the following areas:
- Clinical Laboratory Sciences (e.g. Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking, Histopathology, Laboratory Quality Management, Clinical Laboratory Operations)
- Bioinformatics
- Database Design & Administration
- Predictive Analytics & Forecasting
- Predictive Modelling

Biopharmaceutical & Chemical Engineering

- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Biologics Upstream Operations
- Biologics Downstream Operations
- Manufacturing Science and Technology

Food & Beverage Business

- At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Western cuisine, preferably with supervisory experience in professional kitchens, fine-dining establishments, or modern restaurant operations
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to keeping abreast of current industry trends and developments, including sustainability practices, evolving dietary needs, and emerging culinary technologies.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven expertise in recipe development and the ability to develop innovative culinary solutions.

Pharmaceutical Science

- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Nursing / Patient Care Skills (e.g., First Aid, Phlebotomy, ECG monitoring and interpretation, Parenteral Drug Administration)
- Research Ethics
- Good Clinical Practice
- Clinical Trials Management
- AI & Data Analytics
- Clinical sample processing

For the role related to Pharmaceutical Science, candidates with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration will have an advantage.
