About this role

Accountabilities:

- Partner with customers to understand their security challenges, business objectives, technical environments, and compliance requirements, translating those needs into practical security solutions.

- Configure and support Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, privileged access, Conditional Access, MFA, and related identity security capabilities.

- Design and implement Privileged Identity Management strategies and help customers strengthen identity security and access controls.

- Deploy, configure, and optimize Microsoft Defender solutions across identity, endpoints, email, Microsoft 365, and cloud environments.

- Support endpoint security, compliance, and device-management initiatives using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager.

- Configure and support Microsoft Purview capabilities for information protection, data governance, compliance, and related security requirements.

- Use Azure Log Analytics and security insights to monitor environments, investigate security events, identify risks, and improve overall security posture.

- Develop and maintain PowerShell automation to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and repeatability.

- Collaborate with architects, consultants, engineers, and customer stakeholders throughout solution design, implementation, optimization, and project delivery.

- Help organizations adopt Microsoft security best practices and continuously improve their security maturity.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of professional experience in Azure security engineering, including configuring security controls, monitoring environments, and supporting incident response.

- Hands-on experience implementing and managing Microsoft security technologies, controls, monitoring solutions, and security best practices.

- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, identity governance, Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication, and self-service password reset.

- Experience with Microsoft Purview and information governance initiatives.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender solutions, including Defender for Microsoft 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud, and Cloud Security Posture Management.

- Strong customer-facing consulting and communication skills, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple customer engagements.

- Experience working in consulting or customer-facing technical environments.

- Ability to travel occasionally when required.

- Additional experience with Exchange Online, Active Directory, hybrid identity environments, Microsoft Sentinel, PowerShell, Azure Automation, or Kusto Query Language is highly valued.

- Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention, Microsoft Information Protection, network security, and related security controls is a plus.

- Microsoft security certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, or AZ-500 are advantageous.

- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
