Job Title: Flooring Takeoff Estimator/ Administrative Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time, Remote
Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)
Salary: South African Rand (ZAR)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Flooring Estimator / Material Takeoff Specialist to accurately prepare material takeoffs and support the estimating process. Flooring estimating experience is preferred, and strong communication with clients and vendors is essential.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate material takeoffs from drawings, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Calculate required quantities and materials for flooring projects.
- Review project documents to identify scope, measurements, specifications, and potential issues.
- Prepare estimates and support pricing and quotation requirements.
- Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal team members to clarify project requirements.
- Obtain and confirm product, material, and pricing information from vendors.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information before estimates are finalised.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
- Meet required deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience with material takeoffs and estimating .
- Flooring estimating experience is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client and vendor communication skills .
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
