About this role

Position: Welder 1 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview

As a Welder 1, you will be responsible for fabricating metal structures and components using various welding techniques. You will work from blueprints and other technical drawings to produce high-quality welds that meet industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

- Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques to join metal components.

- Weld in various positions, including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.

- Adjust welding equipment settings to achieve desired weld quality.

- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using various tools and equipment.

- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.

- Ensure accurate measurements and tolerances.

- Inspect welds for quality and conformance to specifications.

- Identify and correct welding defects.

- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

- Other duties, as assigned.

Education – Experience Required

- 0-3 years of welding experience.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Manual dexterity.

- Basic math skills.

- Ability to use measuring tools, such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

- Ability to work in various positions, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and working overhead.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest welding techniques and technologies.

- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production goals.

- Identify and troubleshoot welding problems.
