Grounds Crew/Maintenance

Job Overview:

This position is responsible for variety of course maintenance duties.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Mowing, trim work

- Raking bunker

- Shoveling, raking

- Course clean-up and preparation

- Changing cups and tee markers

- Basic tree trimming and maintenance

- Cleaning equipment

- Laying sod

- Filling and seeding divots and worn areas

- Hand watering

- Operating power equipment – small hand tools

- Operating power equipment – large self-propelled equipment

- Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience on a golf course maintenance crew is desirable

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

- Possess decision-making, conflict resolution, and organizational skills

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team

- Ability to operate golf maintenance equipment

- Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Park District

Hours:

Varied from 6:30am - 2:30pm

Rate:

$15-$17.30/hour
