Schedule: Full-Time | 8-Hour Shifts
Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | Every Other Weekend

Who Are You?

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Health Care Center 2nd Shift team, you are a confident and compassionate nurse who takes pride in providing high-quality clinical care. You are comfortable making sound clinical decisions, coordinating resident care, and supporting CNAs and CMAs throughout your shift.

You understand that great nursing goes beyond medications and treatments. You're attentive to changes in condition, communicate effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team, and help create an environment where residents feel safe, respected, and well cared for.

We are seeking nurses with hands-on nursing experience who are comfortable working in a skilled nursing environment. Previous skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute experience is strongly preferred.

An Evening in the Life

- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with individualized resident care plans

- Administer medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and safely

- Assess and monitor resident conditions and promptly communicate significant changes to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members

- Supervise, support, and provide clinical direction to CNAs and CMAs during the shift

- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record

- Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition

- Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards

- Participate in shift report, care conferences, and interdisciplinary communication

- Help ensure a smooth transition of care between shifts through thorough documentation and communication

- Foster a positive, compassionate, and resident-centered environment for residents and coworkers alike

Qualifications

License/Certification:

- Current Kansas Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing

- Current CPR certification required

- IV certification preferred, with additional pay available

Experience:

- Previous hands-on nursing experience preferred

- Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute experience strongly preferred

Skills:

- Strong clinical assessment and nursing judgment

- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team

- Excellent communication, documentation, and time-management skills

- Ability to effectively supervise and support nursing support staff

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment

- Compassionate and professional approach to resident care

- Dependable and committed to providing consistent, high-quality care
