A Little Bit About the Role

At UZURV,  we are seeking a Driver Safety and Claims Associate to provide administrative, operational, and first-line ticket and case support for our driver safety, claims management, and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) compliance programs. Reporting to the Driver Safety and Claims Specialist, this entry- to associate-level role focuses on day-to-day incident intake, ticket routing via platforms like Zendesk, document collection, compliance record-keeping, and initial review of driver safety telematics. This is an ideal role for an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to build a career in transportation safety, transit compliance, or risk management.

H ow You’ll Make an Impact:

Incident Intake, Ticketing & Zendesk Support

- Ticket Intake & Management: Act as a primary agent for inbound safety alerts, incident logs, and driver accident reports routed through Zendesk (or similar ticketing tools).

- Macro & Workflow Utilization: Utilize Zendesk workflows, macros, and custom ticket fields to properly categorize, tag, and escalate critical safety and claims incidents to the Specialist team.

- Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Ensure prompt response and resolution times for safety-related inquiries, driver notifications, and third-party claims tickets.

Safety Support & Telematics Monitoring

- Initial Intake & Review: Daily monitoring of driver telematics reports, safety dashboards, and automated safety alerts; flag potential risks or infractions for the Specialist.

- Training Coordination: Assist in scheduling, tracking, and distributing safety training modules and driver onboarding materials.

- Audit Preparation: Collect and organize vehicle inspection logs, maintenance records, and safety equipment checklists to support safety audits.

Auto Insurance Claims Support

- First Notice of Loss (FNOL): Serve as the initial point of contact for driver incident submissions, gathering initial accident reports, photos, police reports, and driver statements.

- Claims File Maintenance: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date digital records and attached ticket documentation for all open and closed insurance claims within the system.

- Liaison Assistance: Coordinate routine communications between drivers, internal operations teams, and external insurance adjusters to gather missing documentation.

FTA Compliance & Administrative Support

- Drug & Alcohol Program Administration: Assist with scheduling and tracking required FTA drug and alcohol testing (49 CFR Part 655 & Part 40), ensuring chain-of-custody documentation is complete.

- Regulatory Recordkeeping: Organize and audit compliance files to ensure UZURV remains prepared for state, federal, and partner transit agency audits.

- Reporting: Assist in drafting routine incident summaries, regulatory logs, and monthly compliance metrics.

What You’ll Need to Have to Succeed:

- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

- Experience: 0–2 years of experience in an administrative, customer support, logistics, or risk management role.

- Software Experience: Prior experience with Zendesk (or comparable ticketing software like Freshdesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, or Jira Service Desk) is strongly preferred.

- Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

- Customer Support & Ticketing Savvy : Familiarity with managing ticket queues, using macros, tagging cases, and maintaining SLAs in Zendesk.

- Attention to Detail: Exceptional organization skills and high precision in record-keeping, tagging, and data entry.

- Technical Aptitude: Comfort learning fleet management software, telematics platforms, and claims management systems.

- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with drivers, adjusters, and internal teams via email and ticket response tools.

- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive/confidential information responsibly.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal transportation regulations (including FTA standards).
