JOB TITLE: Yard and Catalog Specialist

JOB LOCATION: Varies

REPORTS TO: Yard Manager

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

The Yard and Catalog Specialist supports the safe, organized, and professional operation of the auction yard and facility. They assist with equipment operation, item cataloging, facility maintenance, and customer service to ensure a seamless auction experience. This position may also be deployed to off-site auction locations to support cataloging, open house, and pick-up operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience operating heavy equipment preferred (forklift, telehandler, skid steer)

Knowledge of farm/heavy equipment is helpful

Possess and maintain a valid driver's license required. Position includes operation of company vehicles; applicants must meet company driving and insurance eligibility requirements.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Support the organization of the yard and auction layout in a clean, safe, and professional manner

Organize and tag items for auction

Take photos and upload to the auction management website

Create accurate and detailed descriptions of auction items

Leverage AI-assisted tools to identify items, generate accurate descriptions, and validate make, model, year, VIN, and condition where applicable

Operate heavy equipment to assist customers with safely loading and unloading of auction items

Assist in safely loading and unloading of auction items during pick-up and drop off

Help customers locate their purchases

Be visible during open houses, providing service to customers as needed

Maintain organization of the facility and yard

Provide general facility and equipment maintenance including maintaining grounds

Other duties as required and assigned

OFF-SITE AUCTIONS

Travel to off-site auction locations as assigned to support cataloging, open house, and pick-up operations

Assist with the set-up and organized layout of items at off-site locations in preparation for cataloging and open house

Catalog items on-site, including taking photos, creating descriptions, and uploading to the auction management system

Be present and visible during off-site open houses, assisting customers and answering questions about auction items

Support the pick-up process at off-site locations, helping customers locate and safely load their purchases

Act as cashier during off-site pick-up as needed

Follow all company policies and safety procedures while working at off-site locations
