Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Yaphank, NY Pay: $27 - $29/hour We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support engineering and production operations through documentation management, ERP system updates, routing creation, and manufacturing process support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their engineering career who enjoys working with technical drawings, engineering documentation, and cross-functional manufacturing teams. This role offers exposure to production processes, engineering change management, ERP systems, and continuous improvement initiatives within a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and maintain manufacturing routings within the ERP system.
- Update engineering systems, records, and technical documentation.
- Maintain and organize the CAD drawing library.
- Process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and support related documentation updates.
- Create, review, and update Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams.
- Print, organize, and distribute manufacturing and engineering documentation.
- Support day-to-day production activities and manufacturing projects.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate product documentation.
- Assist with parts-related projects, process improvements, and manufacturing support initiatives.
- Ensure routing, BOM, and engineering data remain accurate and up to date.

Required Qualifications

- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical support environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple departments in a team-oriented environment.

- Experience maintaining CAD libraries.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
- Mechanical or manufacturing background.
- Experience supporting production operations.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes, process documentation, or continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
