Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Process Technician to support injection molding operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for machine setup, mold changes, process troubleshooting, equipment optimization, and production support to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with injection molding equipment, mold installation, process adjustments, and manufacturing troubleshooting. This position works closely with production, maintenance, quality, and technical leadership to support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Injection Molding Operations
- Perform mold setups, startups, and changeovers for injection molding machines.
- Monitor molding processes and make adjustments to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Troubleshoot molding, equipment, and process-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Support the maintenance and repair of molding machines, molds, and peripheral equipment.
Production & Process Support
- Monitor production schedules and support achievement of daily production goals.
- Optimize machine settings and process parameters to improve performance and consistency.
- Support investigations related to product defects and process non-conformities.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and CAPA activities to resolve recurring issues.
Equipment & Automation
- Set up, program, and fine-tune peripheral equipment including robotics, grinders, and automation systems.
- Operate cranes and other material handling equipment for mold installation and removal.
- Assist with troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation systems.
Quality & Documentation
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings.
- Utilize precision measuring equipment to verify product quality and dimensional requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of process changes, machine settings, troubleshooting activities, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, technicians, maintenance personnel, and production teams.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Support a collaborative team environment and assist with cross-functional projects as needed.

Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of injection molding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with mold installation, removal, machine setup, and process adjustments.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process-related production issues.
- Experience working with injection molding machines and related manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency using measuring and inspection tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification, trade school training, or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience with robotics, automation systems, or 6-axis robotic equipment.
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of plastic materials and injection molding processes.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Crane operation experience.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Congers, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
