About this role

Event Manager (Field Marketing) - eMobility B2B

At Deftpower we're looking for an Event Manager to join our team. Join Deftpower!

Full-time · Berlin-based, with regular travel to our Netherlands HQ and events across Europe

About Deftpower

At Deftpower, we’re shaping the future of electric charging every single day. Our SaaS-platform helps businesses across Europe make charging simpler, smarter and more sustainable. With AI and intelligent software, we make sure charging works seamlessly with the energy grid, creating a greener and more stable system for everyone.

We’re growing fast, thanks to a recent major investment, and there’s never a dull moment! We’re expanding, improving our technology, and teaming up with companies in over ten countries.

About the team

You join Marketing, and you work closely with Leadership and the Commercial teams to figure out which events actually matter. When it's an internal gathering, you team up with People & Culture instead.

Events are often the first time customers and partners actually meet Deftpower, so a lot of that first impression is on you. There's a lot of ownership in this role and not much hand holding. You're trusted to run your own calendar, your own budget and your own relationships.

“I’ve never once looked at my watch hoping the day would be over. Everything I do feels meaningful.”

Michael - Head of Product

For you

At Deftpower you'll find more than cutting-edge tech, you'll find a team that actually enjoys the ride! Colleagues say we are ambitious, friendly and flexible, with just the right amount of chaos to keep things interesting. Working at Deftpower is both rewarding and challenging. There are many moving parts, partners, suppliers, clients and we are a fast growing company that is still learning. You get support from talented colleagues and a management team that's close, approachable, and ready to roll up their sleeves.

You're based in Berlin, but you'll be all over Europe for the big events. Trade shows, conferences, the works, plus regular trips to our Dutch HQ.

- Salary range: between €55.000,- and €65.000 on an annual basis

- 25 vacations days

- A flexible setup: hybrid working, short decision lines and trust

- €2.000,- training budget a year

About the job

As Event Manager you own Deftpower's events from start to finish, from the first idea all the way through to the follow up afterwards.

- Own and run at least 4 major European trade shows a year, on top of partner activations, executive dinners and flagship customer events

- Manage external vendors, agencies and venues, and hold them to the timelines, budgets and quality you agreed on

- Get Leadership and the Commercial teams aligned on which events actually matter and what they need from you

- Make sure every event reflects the Deftpower brand and gives customers and partners something worth remembering

- Keep track of budgets, attendee lists and results, and turn that into real follow up and improvements next time

- Be in the Netherlands a few times a year for the events that bring the whole company together. Think D-Day, our quarterly all-hands that we turn into a proper event with every office under one roof, our annual birthday party and Deftpower Day, our yearly company outing. We also regularly bring people together from different countries for training days. You arrange the logistics, People & Culture arranges the trainers.

“Everyone is driven to make customers happy, we don't just work for the sake of working.”

- Florian, Team Lead

About you

You've spent 5 to 10 years running events, corporate, agency side, or both, and you've stopped needing a checklist to know what a good event looks like. You think in outcomes, not just logistics.

- You've owned complex, multi stakeholder event programs on your own, not just executed someone else's plan

- You know how to manage and negotiate with agencies, venues and suppliers, and you hold them accountable

- You're comfortable getting Leadership and Commercial stakeholders aligned, not just keeping them informed

- You communicate clearly in English and give direct feedback when it's needed
