Warehouse & Inventory Control Manager
Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Inventory Control Manager to lead and improve the complete flow of material from receiving through warehouse operations and delivery to production.
This is not a role for someone who has simply managed an established warehouse. The successful candidate will have experience transforming underperforming warehouse and inventory operations , identifying root causes, implementing new processes, and creating sustainable operating discipline.
This leader will have responsibility for receiving, dock-to-stock performance, picking accuracy, inventory control, material staging, point-of-use replenishment, and ERP transaction accuracy.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead receiving, warehouse, picking, staging, and inventory-control operations.

- Establish measurable standards for dock-to-stock time, picking accuracy, inventory accuracy, and material availability.

- Improve warehouse layout, slotting, material locations, and overall material flow.

- Develop standard work, visual management, KPIs, and daily accountability processes.

- Improve picking accuracy and implement root-cause corrective actions for recurring errors.

- Ensure kits and production materials are available when required.

- Develop and manage a disciplined cycle-counting and ABC inventory program.

- Investigate inventory variances and eliminate recurring root causes.

- Ensure ERP transactions accurately reflect physical inventory.

- Establish warehouse audit processes and drive corrective actions through completion.

- Develop warehouse leads and future supervisors while building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
Required

- Proven leadership experience in warehouse, inventory control, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.

- Demonstrated experience transforming or significantly improving an underperforming warehouse operation .

- Strong experience with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, material flow, and warehouse controls.

- Experience improving receiving, dock-to-stock, picking, staging, and production material availability.

- Strong ERP/MRP experience and understanding of inventory transaction discipline.

- Demonstrated ability to develop KPIs, standard work, and measurable operating processes.

- Proven experience leading and developing warehouse teams.

Preferred

- Experience supporting manufacturing, assembly, automotive, or similar production environments.

- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

- Experience with warehouse layout, slotting, point-of-use replenishment, and material-flow optimization.
