Dental Assistant – Dental Implant Center
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and patient-focused
Dental Assistant
to join our dentalimplant center. This position is ideal for a dental assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced surgicalenvironment and wants to be part of a team focused on
dental implants, full-arch rehabilitation, and
comprehensive restorative treatment
.
The ideal candidate is confident assisting doctors during surgical and restorative procedures, understandsthe importance of excellent patient care, and is highly organized and attentive to detail. Experience withdental implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, or surgical dentistry is strongly preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
Clinical & Surgical Assisting
Assist doctors during dental implant placement, extractions, bone grafting, full-arch procedures, andrestorative appointments.
Provide four-handed chairside assistance during surgical and restorative procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, surgical instruments, materials, and equipment before procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical environment.
Assist with implant components, surgical materials, impression/scanning procedures, andprovisional/final prosthetics.
Take and assist with dental radiographs and digital records as directed.
Assist with intraoral scanning, impressions, bite records, photographs, and other diagnostic records.
Prepare and properly handle surgical instruments and materials.
Follow all sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols.

Patient Care
Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
Explain non-clinical aspects of procedures and help patients understand what to expect during theirappointments.
Monitor patients throughout appointments and communicate any concerns to the doctor.
Provide appropriate post-operative instructions as directed by the clinical team.
Maintain a calm, professional, and compassionate presence, particularly with patients who may beanxious about dental treatment.
Help create an exceptional patient experience from arrival through dismissal.
Implant & Full-Arch Workflow
Become knowledgeable about the practice's implant and full-arch treatment protocols.
Assist with the various stages of implant treatment, including surgical procedures, conversions/provisionals, scans, impressions, try-ins, and final prosthetic appointments.

Prepare necessary components and materials for each stage of treatment.
Ensure rooms and materials are prepared appropriately based on the day's surgical and restorativeschedule.
Assist with maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records.
Coordinate with doctors, treatment coordinators, front office staff, and laboratory partners asneeded.
Operatory & Inventory Management
Set up and break down operatories efficiently.
Sterilize and turn over instruments and treatment rooms according to practice standards.
Monitor inventory of dental and surgical supplies.
Communicate supply needs before items become critically low.
Maintain organization of implant components, surgical materials, instruments, and clinical supplies.
Assist with receiving and organizing lab cases and dental materials.
Team Responsibilities
Participate in morning huddles and daily team communication.
Communicate effectively with doctors and other clinical team members.
Anticipate the doctor's needs during procedures whenever possible.
Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
Be willing to learn and continuously improve clinical and implant-related skills.
Follow established practice protocols and workflows consistently.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Dental assisting experience required.
Experience in
dental implants, oral surgery, full-arch rehabilitation, or surgical dentistry
strongly preferred
.
CDA or other applicable dental assisting certification preferred.
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or required based on applicable regulations.
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to remain calm and professional during complex surgical procedures.
Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor.
Comfortable working closely with doctors, patients, laboratory teams, and other staff members.
