Mower/Equipment Operator

JOB OVERVIEW

Position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of various equipment such as mower, backhoe, skid steer, asphalt roller.

SPECIFIC TASKS, DUTIES, & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Mow grass in various city rights-of-way and city property.

·         Use chainsaws to cut or remove trees or tree limbs from right-of-ways.

·         Inspect, clean and service equipment each day of operation or as needed.

·         Assist with concrete and asphalt work.

·         Clearing debris from storm drainage inlets, ditches, and culverts.

·         Assist with storm related cleanup.

·         Performs all other duties as assigned.

WORKER REQUIREMENTS (education, certifications, experience, etc.)

REQUIRED:

·         High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree)

·         Valid Louisiana Driver’s License

·         Able to work under varying conditions and to perform moderate physical activity.

HOURS/SCHEDULING

·         Monday-Friday

·         7am-4pm
