What You'll Be Doing

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be a critical member of the finance team, owning important accounting processes and helping drive operational excellence.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

- Lead month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Analyze payroll, incentive compensation, employee benefits, deferred compensation, accruals, reserves, receivables, and tax-related accounts.
- Research and explain account fluctuations and financial variances.
- Review revenue transactions and customer invoicing to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance

- Manage multi-entity federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements.
- Partner with external tax advisors on corporate tax return preparation and filings.
- Respond to agency notices and tax-related inquiries.
- Oversee sales tax compliance activities, including administration of Avalara and related filing requirements.
- Maintain business licenses, registrations, annual reports, and other regulatory filings.
- Track critical filing deadlines and compliance obligations.

Process Improvement & Strategic Projects

- Maintain accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and financial controls.
- Participate in contract reviews and assess financial implications of business agreements.
- Conduct research and analysis for acquisitions, business initiatives, and special projects.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field ✅ Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles ✅ Experience with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills ✅ Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities ✅ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines ✅ Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Public accounting experience (3+ years preferred, but not required) ⭐ Experience with multi-state tax compliance and regulatory filings ⭐ Exposure to ASC 606 revenue recognition ⭐ SaaS, Technology, or Financial Services industry experience ⭐ Experience with Dynamics 365 and Avalara ⭐ Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot

Work Environment

This role is fully onsite during the initial training period and transitions to a hybrid schedule of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote . Success in this position is measured by maintaining an accurate and efficient monthly close process completed within a 7-day close cycle.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ontario, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $47.21/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits
