About this role
A Line Cook candidate will need to be passionate about Southern style food and BBQ, possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be physically capable of working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, and be flexible with their schedule. They will be responsible for preparing food items, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, communicating effectively with others, and performing various duties as assigned by management.

• Physical endurance, including the ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
What the Candidate Will Do:
• Prepare food items according to recipes and standards
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
• Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and management
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to work well in a team environment with strong communication skills
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours).
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and some holidays
