Job Title: Revit Designer Job Description
The Revit Designer will create detailed module drawings for grocery delivery and fast-fulfillment stations in rural areas, focusing on facilities typically ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 square feet. This role develops interior layouts for grocery store delivery stations and other small-format sites that support quick-moving items, ensuring designs meet functional, safety, and operational requirements. The designer collaborates closely with design engineers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into accurate, complete CAD and Revit drawings that support new builds, expansions, and retrofits.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed Revit and CAD module drawings for fast-fulfillment and grocery delivery stations, typically between 5,000 and 10,000 square feet.
- Design interior layouts for grocery store delivery stations and other small stations supporting quick-moving items.
- Work closely with Design Engineers to gather and interpret requirements for delivery station layouts and translate them into precise interior CAD drawings.
- Ensure a high level of accuracy and completeness in all design outputs, adhering to established standards and templates.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering teams, Pre-Construction, Construction, external architects, MHE vendors, and Launch Execution teams to deliver completed, approved design sets.
- Review and engage with internal and external stakeholders on permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floor plans to address design-related questions and clarifications.
- Support the design quality control process by participating in daily peer reviews, following design checklists and standards, and incorporating feedback from Design Engineers.
- Deliver new designs, post-permit design updates, expansions, and retrofit drawings that support associate and driver safety, quality, productivity, and capacity increases for delivery stations.
- Implement new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into standard design packages.
- Manage and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously while preparing construction documents, design layouts, and drafting deliverables.
- Present design concepts, layouts, and updates to leadership and key stakeholders as needed.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of Revit drafting experience.
- 3+ years of project coordinating experience.
- 3+ years of drafting experience in facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural environments.
- 3+ years of extensive operating experience in AutoCAD, with a focus on version 2018 or later, preferably within an Architecture, Design, Civil, or Construction capacity.
- Proficiency in Revit drafting and design, including the ability to produce detailed architectural and interior layouts.
- Strong understanding of architectural floor plans, preferably in large warehouse-type environments or industrial buildings.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences and stakeholders.
- Experience facilitating meetings and presenting design information to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Associate’s degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working on grocery, fulfillment, or fast-moving consumer goods facilities.
- Background in developing construction documents and detailed design packages.
- Familiarity with design quality control processes, including peer reviews and adherence to design checklists and standards.
- Ability to manage a large number of projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and consistency.
- Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, construction, external architects, and vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into existing design standards.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment, with three days per week in the office in Bellevue, WA (Northeast area). The designer works closely with design engineers, construction teams, architects, and other stakeholders in a collaborative, fast-paced setting. Daily work involves extensive use of Revit, AutoCAD (2018 or later), and tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam. The environment emphasizes accuracy, quality control, and continuous improvement, with regular peer reviews and feedback loops. The role supports a services team focused on designing grocery delivery and fast-moving item stations, providing exposure to innovative facility layouts and modern design practices.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
