Responsibilities
- Collect cost information and maintain BOMs
- Maintain proper cost percentage by recommend required price changes
- Determine fixed costs (e.g. Model requirements, Mandatory options)
- Plan for and record variable costs (e.g. raw material and labor costs)
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Analyze and report BOM margins
- Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
- Assisting in month-end and quarter-end inventory
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience (https://resources.workable.com/cost-accountant-interview-questions)as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role
- Thorough knowledge of construction
- In-depth understanding of manufactured homes business
- Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Strong time management skills
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
