About this role

Lubbock Fine is a 20 partner accountancy and tax advisory practice in the City of London and a founder member of the global Russell Bedford International network. We’re continuing to grow, with plans to reach around 200 professionals in 2026.

We work with clients across a wide range of sectors, offering our people strong exposure and opportunities to develop specialist knowledge. Our Business Services Team has around 35 staff, ranging from Trainee through to Partner. As a member of our Business Services Team, you will be reporting to Managers, Associate Directors and Partners, depending on the assignment.

We have an interesting and diverse client base ranging from SMEs, corporate entities, OMBs and funds. Working in the Business Services team, you will become an integral part of the clients’ teams as trusted adviser and first point of contact. The main services that we provide are year-end accounts, VAT, cash flow and management accounts. As well as compliance, we help our clients fulfil their ambitious growth plans by providing projections. We have a varied client base operating in a number of different sectors including property, professional services, entertainment and hospitality, leisure, PR, IT and technology.

Start-up companies are an interesting and rapidly growing section of our client base. In addition to assisting entrepreneurial businesses with the initial set-up of their business, we help them with their ongoing financial planning as well as finding suitable finance and investors.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience working with a diverse portfolio of SME and corporate clients across a range of exciting sectors.

You will:

- Work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, gaining broad exposure to different industries and business types.

- Get involved in a range of accounting work, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, management accounts and statutory year-end accounts .

- Build strong client relationships and become a key point of contact, helping to respond to and resolve client queries.

- Work alongside experienced colleagues and managers on a variety of assignments, including larger and more complex pieces of work.

- Receive full study support towards your ACCA qualification , with plenty of encouragement and support along the way.

- Develop your technical accounting knowledge, commercial awareness and client-facing skills.

- Have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows and build a long-term career within the firm .
