Department : Global Sourcing and Production
Reports to : Director - Global Sourcing and Production
Hours Available: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm EST (1-hour lunch break)
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
Physical Address: 200 Sea Ln, Farmingdale, NY 11735
Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000 (Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law)

About the Opportunity

Our Global Sourcing & Production team plays a critical role in bringing new products from concept to production by working closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and manufacturing partners around the world.

We're looking for a Product Production Assistant who is passionate about product development, organization, and operational excellence and excited to support the production process from sampling through final execution.

You won't just support production—you'll help ensure our products meet quality standards, production timelines, and the level of excellence our customers expect from the BEDGEAR brand.

What You'll Do
As our Product Production Assistant, you'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day production process while partnering closely with Product Production Specialists, vendors, Quality, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure samples, product information, approvals, and production timelines are managed accurately and efficiently.

Essential Functions (included but not limited to):

- Daily follow up with vendors on submit dates for all production components and sample approvals and updating these dates in WIP report daily.

- Communicate daily with vendors to ensure timely delivery of production samples.

- Assist in opening, marking samples, measuring, comparing with approved standards, updating BOM/TP and sending comments to vendors.

- Assist in the approval of packaging and labeling of all products to meet production schedules.

- Assist in updating and maintaining label guides for both domestic and international markets, based on production comments.

- Assist in creating and updating tech packs for all products.

- Facilitate product testing with vendors to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

- Update final pricing and product dims (after approved) to NetSuite.

- Work closely with the Production Team to ensure all projects are handed over with complete information in a timely manner.

- Act as a liaison between internal teams and vendors, communicating updates and resolving issues as they arise.

- Creating and maintaining libraries for all production fabrics/trims/labels/packaging etc.

- Assist Production Specialists in working with Quality team as well as factories to resolve any quality issues.

- Assist Production Specialists in collaborating with stakeholders to address and resolve issues with product approvals.

- Coordinate invoices, create PO’s and work with the finance department to ensure factory payments.

- Assist Production Team managing smart and technical products from inception to shipping including creating cost comparison charts, analyzing costs and negotiating with vendors.

Qualifications
Requirements:

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and have IDs needed to verify

- English literate and proficient (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension)

- Successful completion of a criminal background check is required

Preferred:

- Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree or equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.

- Experience working with Adobe Illustrator.

- Experience coordinating with both domestic and international vendors.

- Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
