About this role

Accountabilities

- Maintain accurate and timely records of daily financial transactions and the general ledger, ensuring accounting information is complete and reliable.

- Prepare and support monthly financial reports, financial statements, operating metrics, budgets, forecasts, and year-end reporting.

- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

- Manage accounts payable activities, ensuring invoices are processed and paid on time and applicable discounts are captured.

- Monitor debt-related payments, including company credit cards, loans, and lines of credit, to ensure obligations are met on schedule.

- Maintain accounting operations, controls, policies, procedures, and digital filing systems across multiple legal entities.

- Calculate budget-to-actual variances, identify significant issues, and communicate relevant findings to finance leadership and business stakeholders.

- Support state sales and use tax reporting and maintain awareness of applicable accounting and taxation requirements.

- Coordinate the preparation and compilation of year-end financial information and statements.

- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.

- Collaborate effectively with finance and other teams while managing competing priorities and maintaining clear, professional communication.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- At least 3 years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, including experience with full-cycle accounting close.

- Experience working with multiple legal entities and maintaining financial records across organizational structures.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and standard bookkeeping practices.

- Practical understanding of U.S. taxation, corporate structures, auditing, and corporate finance.

- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or comparable accounting software; familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe, DocuSign, and Windows is beneficial.

- Experience preparing budgets and forecasts and analyzing financial variances.

- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to colleagues and stakeholders.

- A proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving and continuous process improvement.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

- A collaborative and positive approach, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

- Willingness to work aligned with EMEA business hours, including a 2:00 PM–11:00 PM shift when required.
