Department: Mertz Information Technology

Job Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Salary Exempt

Reports To: Senior IT Operations Manager

Location: Ponca City, OK

Amount of Travel Required: 5% 10%

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing technology solutions that meet business requirements and improve operational efficiency. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that system functionality aligns with organizational needs. The Systems Analyst evaluates existing systems, identifies areas for improvement, and supports the development and integration of new applications and processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may")

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

- Collaborate with business units to understand processes, workflows, and system requirements.

- Conduct interviews, workshops, and documentation reviews to gather functional and technical requirements.

- Analyze business needs and translate them into detailed system specifications.

System Design & Documentation

- Develop functional specifications, process flows, and data models for new or enhanced systems.

- Prepare technical documentation, including configuration guides and user manuals.

- Ensure designs comply with organizational standards and security policies.

Implementation & Testing

- Coordinate with developers and vendors to implement system changes and enhancements.

- Design and execute test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

- Validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.

Support & Maintenance

- Provide second level support for system issues, troubleshooting problems, and recommending solutions.

- Monitor system performance and propose improvements for efficiency and reliability.

- Assist with upgrades, patches, and system integrations.

Stakeholder Communication

- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment.

- Communicate project status, risks, and impacts effectively to all stakeholders.

- Continuous Improvement.

- Identify opportunities for process automation and system optimization.

- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in systems analysis.

- Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.

- Successfully passes all applicable general pre employment testing including but not limited to background check, pre employment drug screening, pre employment fit tests, pre employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).

- Overtime may be required and in person, predictable attendance in Ponca City, OK.

- Valid U.S. Driver's License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.

- 3–5 years of experience in systems analysis or similar role.

- Experience with ERP systems, databases, and integration tools.

- Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and testing frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

- Proficiency in SQL and understanding of relational databases.

- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel. The Business Analyst works primarily indoors and will be sitting for prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organizations facilities. The Business Analyst may be required to lift heavy objects; therefore, The Business Analyst must be able to lift 25lbs.

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job demands.
