Position Overview
The Depot Manager is responsible for all warehousing operations at SubCom & Customer Depots. This role is, trained in and responsible for, the safe operation of cranes, forklifts, telehandlers and winches to effectively load and offload cable. This position is responsible for accurate record keeping of all materials. The Depot Manager performs periodic maintenance of and maintenance scheduling for equipment and grounds. This role reports to the Senior Manager of Depot Operations and is based in Williamsburg, VA.
Responsibilities
- Manage cable movements/transfers and stowage in accordance with company policy
- Travel to and assist with cable loads and offloads at all domestic and international Depots
- Effectively manage stevedores to support cable movements/transfers
- Correctly package and ship/handle goods to/from all depot locations to/from vessels
- Customer Inventory Management
- Obtain and maintain a valid TWIC
- Must be able maintain a DOD Clearence and Associated Accesses
- Must have and maintain a valid State issued drivers license at all times
- Must maintain a valid US Passport
- Consistently ensures that business is always conducted with integrity and that behavior aligns with SubCom policies, procedures, and core values.

- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
- At least 3 years experience with / exposure to cable installation / marine operations
- Able to possess a Fit for Duty certificate to travel internationally for SubCom
- Able to travel 40% of the time
