MPOWER Physical Therapy is looking for a PRN Occupational Therapist to add to our growing team to support our four locations. PRN Occupational Therapists at MPOWER Physical Therapy are primarily utilized to cover patient care for full-time and part-time therapists who are out for vacation and dates are scheduled well in advance. Additional coverage may be utilized as needed to cover for last minute reasons including illness or other emergencies.

Onboarding provided for training in MPOWER treatment standards of care, documentation, and communications to ensure success with patient care.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to manage multiple patients, administer appropriate modalities and treatments including manual therapy techniques, orthopedic splinting and appropriate therapeutic exercise prescription

- Accurate and timely documentation and billing to support reimbursement for treatment interventions

- Provide home education materials to all patients through practice preferred software

- Follow the established plan of care for each patient on assigned caseload

- Communicate with treating full-time therapist any changes in patient status and suggested adjustments to the established plan of care

- Strive to meet company productivity standards for cancellation and no-show rates

- Strive to meet company standards for appropriate units of service per visit

- Maintain current Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Tennessee and meet licensure requirements for continuing education hours

- Supervise assigned Therapy Technician:

Ensure assigned Technician arrives at work on time and prepared to work

- Alert Clinic Manager when the daily schedule does not require assigned Technician to work their normal schedule

- Alert Clinic Manager about any issues related to Technicians ability to assist patient care in a safe and appropriate manner

- Timely communication of any changes in availability and reply to requests for coverage to management

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral level degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university required

- Minimum two years experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)

- Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of Tennessee

- Training and experience in orthopedic care, splinting and manual therapy preferred

- Firm command of therapy payer-specific billing issues and documentation standards

- Firm command of MS Office Suite, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Practice Management (PM) and other key applications

- Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients, and clients

- Neat, professional appearance
