About this role

Designer: Job Description [4-6Mo] The Designer is responsible for creating and updating detailed designs and drawings for existing products, with a strong focus on precision, manufacturability, and adherence to engineering standards. This role primarily uses CREO to develop and modify components, panels, and cabinets within large assemblies, while ensuring all changes are accurately documented through engineering change processes and bills of material. Responsibilities

- Design and update components, panels, and cabinets for large assemblies using CREO.
- Create, modify, and maintain detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for existing products.
- Implement design and detailing changes in accordance with engineering standards and best practices.
- Work with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to document and control design changes.
- Update and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) to accurately reflect design modifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
- Incorporate feedback from cross-functional teams to refine and improve existing product designs.
- Ensure all design documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with project and product requirements.
- Support the integration of electrical components, such as wiring, breakers, contactors, and AC panels, into mechanical designs when required.

Essential Skills

- Minimum of 5 years of design experience in a product or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency with CREO, including 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
- Proven experience designing components, panels, and cabinets for large assemblies.
- Demonstrated ability to work with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- Experience creating and maintaining accurate Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards, specifications, and requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality design documentation.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills when working with engineers and cross-functional teams.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Loves Park, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
