Job Title: Project Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on complex and technically demanding construction projects across various sectors, including Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Healthcare, Data Centers, Government, and Advanced Technology.
Responsibilities
- Support the execution of commercial construction projects as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or Construction Coordinator.
- Assist in the management of construction documentation, contract administration, change management, project controls, and subcontractor coordination.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical project requirements.
- Provide analytical and problem-solving support for technical information and project execution decisions.
- Utilize construction management software platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
- 2-5 years of experience supporting commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation and project management processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with critical building systems like HVAC, cleanrooms, laboratories, and process utilities.
- Direct exposure to GMP, FDA-regulated, healthcare, government, or highly regulated environments.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, design coordination, and facility turnover processes.
- EIT certification, PMP coursework, OSHA training, or other relevant industry certifications.
Work Environment
The work environment is fast-paced and demands a high level of technical accuracy, quality, safety, and schedule performance. You will collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure project success. The role requires a detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple workstreams and maintaining project controls.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vacaville, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
