Job Purpose

The HR Assistant provides hands-on administrative support for the organization’s HR and payroll functions. This role serves as a key payroll administrator during assigned payroll dates and supports a variety of HR processes on other days, such as preparing new-hire materials, entering information into company systems, coordinating logistics, and supporting talent acquisition efforts.

Responsibilities

- Assist with the administration of biweekly payroll, including reviewing timekeeping and payroll information, entering payroll changes, gathering required information, and assisting with payroll submission and follow-up on payroll issues.

- Support new-hire onboarding by preparing and organizing training materials, name badges, uniforms, and other onboarding items; entering new-hire information into company systems; and coordinating the delivery or distribution of materials to new employees and managers.

- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Director and assist with a variety of HR processes, including maintaining employee records, entering and updating information in HR systems, processing employee changes and separations, managing routine HR requests, and responding to employee questions.

- Assist with recruiting activities as needed during peak periods, including coordinating interviews and recruiting logistics, communicating with candidates, and representing the company at career fairs and other recruiting events.

- Provide general administrative and logistical support for HR projects, events, and initiatives as needed.

- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; and/or HR certification (SHRM-CP/PHR) preferred

- Previous experience in an administrative, office, payroll, or HR support role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle routine, repetitive tasks.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.

- Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related software.

Job Details

This is a part-time position, scheduled two weekday shifts, approximately 16 hours per week.  The position is based out of the Baron Education/DriveSafe central office (7951 E. Maplewood Ave, Suite 290, Greenwood Village CO 80111) or another approved company location.
