Job Title: Project Superintendent Job Description The Project Superintendent oversees all on-site project supervision and management, leading the development of the overall project approach and schedule while coordinating all field activities. This role ensures that construction projects are delivered safely, within budget, on schedule, and to high quality standards. The Project Superintendent acts as the central point of contact in the field, guiding teams, resolving issues, and supporting the growth of the local office through strong leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement. Responsibilities

- Provide full on-site supervision and management for construction projects from mobilization through closeout.
- Develop, maintain, and manage the overall project approach, sequence, and construction schedule.
- Coordinate daily field operations, including subcontractor activities, deliveries, and inspections.
- Ensure all project activities are executed safely and in compliance with applicable safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor progress to ensure work stays on schedule and within the established budget.
- Oversee quality control in the field to ensure construction meets specified standards and project requirements.
- Review, interpret, and manage construction documents, including plans, specifications, and addenda.
- Coordinate and document all project activities, including meetings, site reports, and field communications.
- Manage and track RFIs, change orders, and other project documentation in collaboration with the project management team.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, project engineers, and coordinators to ensure alignment between office and field operations.
- Make timely, sound decisions in the field to resolve issues and keep the project moving forward.
- Lead, mentor, and direct field staff and subcontractors, delegating work effectively among team members.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Uphold and model high standards of professionalism, honesty, integrity, and fairness in all project interactions.
- Support estimation and preconstruction efforts by providing constructability insights and field-driven feedback.
- Contribute to the growth of the local office by acting as a strong field leader who helps build and develop the regional team.

Essential Skills

- Deep project knowledge with the ability to thoroughly understand project scope, approach, and constructability.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills for reviewing plans, schedules, and field conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse project stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and coordinate field teams.
- Demonstrated professionalism, honesty, integrity, and fairness in previous roles.
- Confidence in making sound, timely decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Ability to delegate tasks effectively among subordinates and manage multiple priorities on site.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project for scheduling and tracking progress.
- Working knowledge of Vista or similar construction management/accounting software.
- Field experience in construction as a Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
- Strong project management and construction management capabilities, including coordination and field oversight.
- Experience managing RFIs, change orders, and construction documents.
- Ability to serve as a great communicator who can clearly convey expectations and resolve issues.
- Motivation to advance quickly and take on increasing responsibility within the organization.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- College education is an asset and provides a strong foundation for this role.
- Experience in project engineering or project coordination is beneficial.
- Experience in estimation or preconstruction support is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the growth of an office or region through leadership and initiative.
- Desire to move up the ladder quickly and take on broader leadership responsibilities.
- Experience working on a variety of construction projects and scopes.
- Comfort working closely with office-based project management teams to align field and office operations.

Work Environment This role is primarily field-based on active construction sites, where the Project Superintendent oversees daily on-site activities and coordinates closely with the office team. The environment involves managing multiple subcontractors, trades, and vendors while working with construction documents, RFIs, change orders, and schedules. Standard tools include Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Vista or similar construction management software. Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
