Our Environmental Management & Approvals (EM&A) team has seen remarkable growth since its inception 6 years ago. We aim to help clients embed robust environmental risk management practices, as these avoid the future costs and disruption associated with pollution incidences, contamination clean-up, or regulatory actions for non-compliance.

The team is looking for a passionate and creative Consultant to join our high-performing team, to be based in  Adelaide  and help shape our continued success. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team delivering a wide variety of projects to the public and private sector; and the chance to help shape the EM&A team’s ongoing growth and direction.

So, what will you do?

Delivery and contribution to quality  envir onmental manage ment, appr o vals an d
sust ainab ility
services, including:

- State-based environmental permits, licences and approvals and regulatory advice .

- Commonwealth environmental approvals, e.g. under the Cth

Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act

- Environmental impact assessment, risk management  and environmental management.

- Multidisciplinary environmental and resources assessments and audits including compliance and environmental due diligence.

- Climate risk and opp ortunit ies ass essment , c arbon accountin g , and preparatio n of sustainability report s ( man da t ory and vol untary) .

- S trateg ic sustai nability advice, i ncl uding target se tting , decarbo nisation , and
transition
p l anning .

- Technical solutions to clients, which may include waste and resources advisory and extractive industry services, monitoring and audit plans, data interpretation, compliance advice or other topics relevant to your experience.

- Contribute to enhancing and building upon the positive reputation of Senversa nationally.

- Contribute to supporting the values of Senversa, particularly in the fields of client delivery, quality, technical leadership,  sustainability  and safety.

- Contribute to the development and growth of the national EM&A team and the broader Senversa team.

- Support our cultural values and consultative leadership style, including values on safety and sustainability.

What you will bring to the team

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental science, environmental engineering, science, sustainability, planning or other disciplines relevant to environmental management and approvals.

- Betw een 8 -10 years ’
e xperience in sus tainabil ity, e nvironmental a pprovals, m anagement and c ompliance , pre ferabl y with in a consulti ng environ ment.

- Strong knowledge of local, State and National environmental standards and guidelines.

- E xperience or interest in developing skills in greenhouse gas accounting , climate -related risk assessments
and sustainability reporting .

- Project mana gement skill s, inclu ding schedul ing , coordination
and proje ct financial ma nagement .

- Strong lateral thinking, problem  solving and team working abilities.

- Ability to meet deadlines, a self-starter and highly motivated.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and clients.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Full Australian working rights.

- Valid Australian drivers licence .
