About this role
Accountabilities:
- Manage contract intake, routing, execution, and filing across multiple brands, processing routine agreements using approved templates, identifying deviations, escalating issues appropriately, and helping streamline contract workflows.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform by assessing current processes, defining needs-based evaluation criteria, and assisting with data migration and mapping.
- Coordinate legal projects, timelines, and cross-functional follow-ups while maintaining visibility into priorities and ensuring commitments remain on track.
- Manage outside counsel billing and legal vendor administration, helping maintain organized and efficient relationships with external legal providers.
- Support intellectual property operations by maintaining the trademark portfolio, tracking renewals, and coordinating with outside IP counsel.
- Assist with DMCA and copyright processes in partnership with Trust & Safety teams, while supporting broader compliance initiatives involving privacy, content moderation, consumer protection, digital services, and event-specific regulatory requirements.
- Monitor relevant regulatory developments and help translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical processes, policies, and operational guidance.
- Serve as a primary Legal point of contact for cross-functional partners on standard legal matters and general questions, communicating proactively and escalating blockers when necessary.
- Maintain organized legal files, policies, governance documentation, and intake workflows while supporting the use of tools such as Asana for legal project and workflow management.
Requirements:
- Bring professional paralegal experience and/or paralegal certification, ideally with a focus on contracts, legal operations, or related areas, along with the ability to independently own work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, anticipate potential issues, and keep complex workloads moving forward.
- Communicate clearly and confidently, providing proactive updates, identifying blockers early, and building effective working relationships with cross-functional stakeholders outside the Legal team.
- Have a process-improvement mindset and a demonstrated ability to develop more efficient approaches rather than simply following established procedures.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to review legal documents thoroughly and identify inconsistencies or potential issues before they progress.
- Demonstrate sound professional judgment, knowing when to act independently and when to seek alignment, while bringing recommendations and taking ownership through execution.
- Be comfortable working in a lean, fast-moving environment where contributions are highly visible and new legal operations infrastructure is being established.
- Experience supporting contracts, intellectual property, compliance, privacy, regulated matters, or outside counsel relationships is valuable.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, DocuSign, Vendr, Zendesk, or comparable legal and business workflow tools is advantageous.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be physically located in an approved state. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
