The Reporting and Business Intelligence Analyst supports the Documents, Records and Completions function by delivering accurate, timely and insightful management information. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a single source of truth for departmental reporting, creating Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting and performance analytics that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders across Documents, Records and Completions, the role will drive improvements in data quality, reporting consistency and reporting automation. Combining strong analytical capability with excellent stakeholder engagement skills, the successful candidate will translate data into meaningful insights that improve performance, compliance and delivery outcomes.
You’ll be responsible for:
Strategic reporting and insight
- Developing, maintaining and continuously improving Power BI dashboards, KPI frameworks and management information reporting across the documents, records and completions (DRC) function.
- Establish and maintain a single source of truth for departmental reporting, ensuring data is accurate, consistent and trusted by stakeholders.
- Designing, developing and maintaining reporting solutions that support operational decision-making and performance management.
Performance reporting and analytics
- Produce regular and ad-hoc performance reporting, analysis and insight across documents, records, completions and non-conformance activities.
- Analyse trends, risks, backlogs and key performance indicators, providing clear recommendations to support continuous improvement.
- Support the development of performance measures and reporting standards that drive accountability and improved business outcomes.
Data quality and information management
- Working with documents, records and completions teams, system owners and stakeholders to improve data quality, reporting consistency and data governance across departmental systems.
- Validating and reconciling data from multiple sources to ensure the accuracy and integrity of management information.
- Supporting the effective use of EDRMS and associated systems by developing reporting solutions that improve visibility and decision-making
Systems, reporting and continuous improvement
- Managing reporting automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency across the department.
- Supporting the development and enhancement of reporting capabilities within Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, data structures and performance measurement approaches.
Stakeholder engagement and collaboration
- Building effective working relationships across the documents, records and completions function, Quality Directorate and wider programme teams to understand reporting requirements and priorities.
- Presenting reporting outputs, performance trends and insights in a clear and engaging manner to a range of stakeholders.
- Acting as a trusted advisor on reporting, analytics and management information matters within the Documents, Records and Completions function.
- Promoting a data-driven culture by helping stakeholders understand and use reporting to support decision-making and performance improvement.
You’ll need to have:
- Advanced Power BI and reporting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insight.
- Experience working with large datasets from multiple systems and data sources.
- Experience developing KPI frameworks, dashboards and management information.
- Strong focus on data quality, accuracy and reporting consistency.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence positive outcomes.
- Experience improving and automating reporting processes.
- Degree qualified, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience within major construction, engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience supporting quality, completions, document control or records management functions through reporting and analytics.
- Knowledge of nuclear site licence conditions, particularly LC6.
- Previous experience within the nuclear industry.
