Android TV Integration Engineer

Location : Osijek

Your role would include:

- Participation in handling anomalies reported by validation teams on our STBs
- Generating Android TV firmware
- Integrating software components from development teams and partners (OEM, ODM, Google)
- CI/CD maintenance
- Designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable Android TV applications and system-level integrations
- Integration of third-party services, APIs, and content providers (e.g., streaming services, payment gateways, analytics platforms) into the Android TV platform
- Customizing and extending the Android TV framework, including the Leanback Library and the TV Input Framework (TIF), to meet specific product requirements
- Optimizing application performance, responsiveness, and memory usage for a smooth and intuitive user experience on large screens
- Collaborating closely with validation teams, suppliers and development teams to resolve issues
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across the Android TV stack, from applications to system-level components
- Ensuring compliance with Google's Android TV and Google TV guidelines and certification processes
- Staying up-to-date with the latest Android TV technologies, trends, and best practices
- Participation in code reviews and maintaining of high code quality standards
- Management of bugs effectively

Requirements:

- University degree in computer technology or computer science
- Senior-level experience with systems including Android OS, Linux, Shell, and Gradle
- Knowledge of programming languages: Java, Kotlin, C, C++, Makefiles, Bash
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins
- Knowledge of digital television technologies (DRM, OTT, IPTV) will be considered a plus
- Good knowledge of English language
