We are looking for a high-energy, experienced Service Dispatcher who thrives in a busy dealership environment and knows how to keep a service department moving. This is a critical role for someone who can multitask, communicate effectively, stay organized under pressure, and keep technicians and advisors operating efficiently throughout the day.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have previous dealership experience as either a Service Technician or Service Advisor and understand the day-to-day demands of a busy automotive service department.

You should be someone who:

- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Can juggle multiple priorities without losing attention to detail

- Understands technician workflow, repair orders, and service operations

- Communicates clearly and confidently with technicians, advisors, and management

- Can make quick decisions and adjust priorities throughout the day

- Keeps a positive, energetic attitude—even when the shop gets extremely busy

- Is highly organized and able to keep work flowing efficiently

Key Responsibilities

- Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, workload, and shop priorities

- Monitor technician workflow and productivity throughout the day

- Coordinate with Service Advisors to prioritize customer and shop needs

- Help maintain an efficient flow of vehicles through the service department

- Monitor repair order status and identify delays or bottlenecks

- Communicate with technicians and advisors regarding job status and priorities

- Reassign work as necessary to keep the department operating efficiently

- Assist with managing technician workload and workflow during peak periods

- Help ensure promised times and department goals are being met

- Maintain accurate and organized records within the dealership's service system

- Support the Service Manager and management team with daily service department operations

Qualifications

Required:

- Previous experience as a Dealership Service Technician OR Dealership Service Advisor

- Strong understanding of dealership service department operations

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment

- Strong computer and dealership management system skills

- Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional under pressure

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

- Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
