About this role

What your work will look like:

- Leads, mentors, and grows a team of engineers, owning hiring, performance management, and career development.

- Remains hands-on when needed, contributing to the codebase, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting the team with your technical expertise.

- Takes accountability for the delivery, quality, and reliability of one or more product areas, balancing technical and business priorities.

- Partners with product and other stakeholders to shape roadmaps, plan capacity, and ensure predictable delivery.

- Drives continuous improvement of engineering practices, tooling, and processes, and removes blockers for the team.

- Contributes to technical and architectural direction, ensuring sound decisions while empowering engineers to own the details.

What you need to be successful in this role:

- Bachelor's or  Master's degree in Computer Science  or similar, with substantial software engineering experience and prior people-management or tech-lead experience.

- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop engineers, and to build inclusive, motivated teams.

- Strong technical grounding (e.g., Java, Kotlin, and/or JavaScript, large-scale systems) sufficient to guide architecture and challenge decisions—without needing to be the hands-on expert.

- Familiarity with Agentic Software Engineering and AI-driven development lifecycles, and how to adopt them within a team.

- Deep understanding of Agile delivery, CI/CD, and quality practices, plus excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across teams and functions.

- Experience with cloud-based, containerized environments (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS) is a plus.

- Fluent in English, with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
