Baptist Health is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer for our Ultrasound Department at Baptist ED Oakleaf in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Part-Time Days opportunity working Thursday and Friday 6:30am-7:00pm. Call and holiday rotation required.
At Baptist Health, our Diagnostic Sonographers play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care through advanced imaging by performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians, and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Responsibilities:
- Performs high-quality, diagnostic ultrasound and peripheral vascular procedures
- Promotes goodwill among coworkers and other departments and has a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
- Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 Years Experience Working in a Hospital Setting
- 1-2 Years Hospital-based department-specific work experience
- 1-2 Years Ultrasound Experience
- 1-2 Years Customer Service Experience
Education & Credential Requirements:
- Vocational School
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) - ARDMS Preferred
- Registered Radiologic Technologist- ARRT Preferred
- Registered Technologist in Sonography - ARRT Preferred
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - CCI – Cardiovascular Preferred
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) - ARDMS Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS)-AHA Required
If hired, must obtain certification in Sonography from the ARDMS or ARRT (S) and RVT or ARRT(VS) or RVS within 12 months of hire.
