About this role
Insignis is a growing FinTech company focused on empowering the cash savings market to maximise returns, diversify risk and provide security. We are expanding, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants to have a direct impact on our journey and to develop their career as the business evolves. You will join a team where your ideas are welcomed and valued.
We are looking for a capable Product Owner to join our Cash Management domain, working closely with the Senior Product Manager who leads this area. The domain covers our client platform – the primary web-based experience our clients use to manage their cash – as well as the key services that support it. You will take ownership of prioritisation and delivery of the backlog for one of the teams, playing a vital role in ensuring Insignis offers a best-in-class client experience while balancing the priorities of multiple initiatives to maintain a sensible, achievable roadmap for the tech team you work with.
This is a great role for an ambitious Product Owner or Business Analyst looking to grow within a business-critical, client-facing domain.
What to expect from the role
- Own and prioritise the backlog for the cash management client platform and its supporting key services, in close partnership with the Senior Product Manager — including triaging inbound requests from client services, operations and other stakeholders.
- Translate the domain roadmap into clear, well-defined backlog items that engineering teams can pick up with confidence.
- Support the Senior Product Manager in producing detailed requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for both new features and enhancements to existing services.
- Work closely with product designers throughout discovery and delivery, from early concepts through to prototypes and usability testing, ensuring designs are grounded in real client and intermediary needs and technically deliverable.
- Live and breathe user feedback — regularly reviewing client queries, support tickets, NPS and other data to spot patterns, and using these insights to shape and reprioritise the backlog.
- Actively use AI tools to accelerate discovery, requirements-writing, testing and delivery, exercising judgement to keep quality high, and help the wider team adopt good practice as these tools evolve.
- Identify dependencies and challenges across the client platform and key services, and creatively work to resolve them to safeguard the delivery plan — coordinating with other product owners where dependencies exist with adjacent platforms .
- Work with engineering leads and QA to manage the backlog on an ongoing basis, attending and contributing to all sprint ceremonies, and leading or contributing to sprint demos.
- Communicate priorities and timelines clearly to both the development team and the business.
- Manage business readiness for releases, ensuring internal teams — including sales, client services and operations — are prepared ahead of launch, and building supporting collateral such as release notes, FAQs and sales materials.
The team
- Join a team that is driving the product strategy supporting Insignis’s objectives as a scaling fintech.
- Strong team culture, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Collaboration and initiative over hierarchy.
- An environment where great ideas can come from anyone.
What we are looking for
- 2–5 years' experience working with agile technical teams in a Product Owner or Business Analyst capacity.
- Degree education or equivalent experience.
- A self-starter who is curious, highly motivated and takes ownership of outcomes.
- Great communicator, written and verbal, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage workloads in a critical and exciting area of the business.
- Adaptable and professional, building relationships with both technology and business stakeholders.
- A development mindset, contributing to improving best practice and refining product ownership processes.
- You prioritise outcomes over output and enjoy working closely with engineering and test colleagues.
- Any technical background, or experience in banking, cash management, payments or regulated financial services, is a distinct advantage.
Nice to have
- Experience in FinTech, and even better with both back-end services and front-end client experiences.
- Experience working in a start-up/scale-up.
Benefits of the job
- Competitive compensation
- 25 days holiday (exc. Bank holidays)
