Police Officer, Public Safety & Security, PRN, Varied Shift

To perform general duty police work in the protection of life and property through crime prevention and the enforcement of Federal, State, and local laws, policies and procedures of UC Health, for all properties owned and operated by UC Health on an assigned shift. An Officer's duties range from periods of physical inactivity to situations requiring extreme physical exertion and may involve an element of danger. Education and Experience Requirements

- Minimum High School Education or GED. Some college, preferably in Criminal Justice or related field preferred. Hospital Security / Police preferred.
- Must have graduated from an approved Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy as a police officer and eligible for State of Ohio commission as a police officer.
- Must possess the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy (OPOTA) certification or Ohio State Patrol certification (OSP) as a Police Officer with the minimum hours of training required by OPOTA, and not have a break in service as a commissioned police officer for more than one (1) year.
- Previous Police Officer experience preferred.
