This role helps protect Credit Humans financial interests by ensuring bankruptcy and charge-off accounts are handled accurately, timely, and in compliance with required procedures. Through careful processing, research, reporting, and coordination, this position reduces operational risk and supports informed decisions across lending teams.

What Youll Do

- Manage bankruptcy account activity to ensure petitions, discharges, dismissals, trustee payments, legal notices, and account updates are processed accurately and on time.

- Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, lending departments, and internal partners to resolve account issues and protect Credit Humans interests.

- Monitor bankruptcy queues and loan activity to identify delinquency, plan changes, insurance needs, small balances, and required follow-up actions.

- Process monthly loan and share charge-offs, balancing, reconciliations, and reports to support accurate financial and operational records.

- Research account activity, payment applications, invoices, discrepancies, and member requests to determine appropriate next steps.

- Prepare timely status updates, notices, letters, dashboards, and management reports that support compliance and decision-making.

- Maintain member information security and compliance with Credit Human policies, procedures, BSA requirements, and applicable regulatory expectations.

Experience:

Required

- Financial institution experience and a general knowledge of financial institution organization and operations

- Basic knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy code and related laws and regulations

- Basic knowledge and understanding of consumer and real estate lending

Preferred

- 2 years of financial institution experience and a general knowledge of financial institution organization and operations

- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy code and related laws and regulations

Skills & Knowledge:

Required

- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

- Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, exceptional research skills, and strong problem solving

- Self-starter and capable of working independently

- Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Education:

Required

- High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

- Completion of at least 1 year of college level coursework

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5:30 pm

Compensation Details:

Paygrade: 1CA

The expected pay range for this position is $23.77–$25.73 hourly.

Job Location: This position is onsite based in San Antonio, TX
