Nurse Technician -Nephrology
The Nurse Tech performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Tech provides basic patient care and assist with activities of daily living (ADL)s under close supervision of the nurse. Basic patient care and ADLs are defined as: patient bathing, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties that they have verified completion of competencies. Relies on establish guidelines to accomplish tasks. The Nurse Tech works under close supervision of the nurse.

- Student Nurse in good standing with completion of basic patient skills within nursing program.
- Must be a student nurse currently enrolled in either: Registered Nurse accredited School of Nursing program who is in the Junior or Senior level year that has completed their second clinical rotation (Med/Surg clinicals) or a Licensed Practical Nurse accredited School of Nursing program who has completed their first semester/term.
- Student Nurse in good standing within an accredited program.
- Communication, Customer Service, computer Skills and Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
- BLS Certification
