Responsibilities

Planning, Procurement & Material Tracking

- Utilize engineering records, maintenance planning, and engineering deliverables to order parts and/or materials required to execute maintenance work

- Create purchase requisitions as needed to order parts and/or materials

- Work with Procurement to expedite parts and/or materials as needed

- Provide timely updates to maintenance planners and schedulers on the status of ordered parts and/or materials

- Track purchase order status and open commitments.

- Track long lead-time materials and identify potential schedule impacts.

- Participate in maintenance planning and scheduling meetings to understand current work priority

- Coordinate material readiness reviews prior to turnaround execution.

Material Handling, Staging & Execution Support

- Pick-up and deliver items inside the facility and/or off-site facilities

- Kit and stage parts and/or materials; ensure staging areas are clean, organized, and only contain items related to scheduled work

- Coordinate contractor-owned and company-owned material deliveries.

- Maintain accountability of issued materials during turnaround execution.

- Inspect received parts and/or materials to ensure they meet specifications

- Inventory & Repairable Spares Management

- Monitor inventory of vendor stocked parts and/or materials in assigned areas and coordinate replenishment to maintain minimum stocking levels

- Recommend changes to stocking levels for vendor stocked parts and/or materials based on usage trends and forecasted heavy use periods

- Coordinate the repairable spares process for assigned areas

- Return unused stock materials to inventory.

Cost Control & Turnaround Closeout

- Monitor and report material expenditures against turnaround budgets.

- Identify opportunities for cost reduction through inventory utilization and material recovery.

- Reconcile unused materials after turnaround completion.

- Document material issues and lessons learned for future turnarounds.

- Support post-turnaround cost and performance reviews.

Communication & Customer Service

- Professionally provide written and verbal communication to all team members

- Professionally provide written and verbal communication to suppliers and execution forces for upcoming needs

- Provide courteous customer service for both internal and external customers

- Continuous Improvement & General Responsibilities

- Participate in strategic and continuous improvement initiatives

- Performs other related duties as designated by supervision

- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, and SAP

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.

- Valid state motor vehicle driver’s license.

- High School Diploma/GED

- Proficient in Word, Excel and SAP

- Knowledge of Maintenance processes

Preferred Qualifications

- Greater than 2 years of experience ordering mechanical or electrical parts.

- Greater than 2 years Maintenance Mechanic or Electrician experience
