Job Summary:
The Cyber Security and Compliance associate will assist with information and data risk advisory services, will be engaged to assist with client projects, and internal initiatives. The associate will work alongside experienced professionals where they will conduct a variety of compliance projects, cyber maturity assessments, and other cyber related tasks. The intern will be involved with operationalizing client processes, policies, and controls.
The Associate will interact with client personnel, thus good communication skills and a strong presence are needed.
Job Duties:
• Participates in engagement projects in consultation with other team members
• Assists with conducting assessments such as Payment Card Industry (PCI); National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST); Center for Internet Security (CIS); The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) including readiness reports, Cybersecurity Audit as part of the CCPA standards, and other related tasks
• Drafts presentations of BDO work product to client
• Identifies and prioritizes initial key risks and assesses their impact and likeliness of occurrence.
• Assists with preparing reports for client highlighting work performed, issues identified and BDO recommendations
• Coordinates with other BDO practices in relation to technical issues and other due diligence projects components in conjunction with the engagement lead
• Travel required as necessary

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science, required
Experience:
• Three (3) months of experience in IT compliance, security assessments, management consulting, technology advisory, or technology project management, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s)
• N/A
Software
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or GoogleSuite, required
• Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, preferred
• Experience using AI platforms, preferred

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
Illinois Range: $78,000 - $82,000
Minnesota Range: $70,000 - $74,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $83,000 - $87,000
Ohio Range: $71,000 - $75,000
Washington DC Range: $83,000 - $87,000
